Multi-electrode electrical resistivity & induced polarization imaging instruments “SibER-48”
Since 2013 – 4-th generation of electrical exploration equipment “SibER-48” has following features:
1. Improved feedback circuit generator that allows you to work without interruption at no load and short-circuit;
2. Reduced measurement time;
3. Values increased mechanical strength of bearing structures;
4. Applied more reliable switch interface boards;
5. Improved performance of the generator;
6. Added protection against overheating of the transformer.
New generation of the device has successfully passed the tests field trials, as well as vibration test, shock and environmental testing in accordance with GOST 26116-84 .
Measurement with Siber-48 based on the resistivity methods. The fundamental physical law used in resistivity surveys is Ohm’s Law that governs
the flow of current in the ground. With equipment it is possible to work in 2D Electrotomography and Induced polarization modes.
Electrical exploration equipment “Siber-48” has built-in software that lets you :
– Program the switches for 2D Tomography;
– Ensure the safety of data when power failure;
– Perform control for each electrodes;
– Provides flexible equipment control.

After connecting two 24-electrode cables with 5 meters spacing between the electrodes, it is possible to collect the geoelectric section along the profile up to 235 meters in less than 10 minutes.
For long profiles implemented mode “scolding Profile” with the transfer of the first segment of the multielectrode cable previous arrangement on the second place in the next.
Software for PC – SibER Tools, needs to create and edit files with descriptions of the sequences, as well as primary data processing – filtering, packaging and export to common formats (IPI2Win, Res2dInv, Res3dInv). The program allows you to create sequences for both measurements electro-tomography and traditional four-electrode sounding with linear or geometric step spacing.
